I love it! So it will now go into production.

Goodbye Summer
Tuesday, April 13th, 2010I hope everyone had a lovely Easter. My family and I went to our little weekender by the lake.
After 2 years in production, I am retiring my Summer design (the famous MercedesLouise spot bag) we at MercedesLouise will no longer be making the bag.

Back to Work
Thursday, January 21st, 2010I have had such a wonderful break and am now back to work. We had a beautifully relaxing family holiday on Norfolk Island swimming, 
fishing,
(this is how they lower the fishing boats into the ocean as there are no ports due to the terrain)
eating
and catching up with dear friends who live the lifestyle everyday.
It is such a small world we made new friends by a chance meeting in a car park when I asked if I could take a photo of their cute vintage car. They happily allowed me to sit inside to take a photo. We were just talking about where we came from (it’s a small island and everyone knows when you’re not a local) and they mentioned that they had a place north of Sydney and it turns out they are neighbours and friends of old friends of ours. As I said small world and we now have new friends. They are such kind people and invited us over to see their home and the other vintage vehicles they own. The cars are so cute and I love them.

The island is so beautiful and our friends have Garnets nesting along the cliff edge of their home. We quietly watched as they guarded their babies; it was magical.
Harrison celebrated his birthday while we were there and the restaurant made him a cake. Such a good night with family and friends.
It was hard to leave. Dad looks so pensive at the airport to go home, wishing he had more time to do more fishing.
As I mentioned it is back to work and I have a new bag ready for my website ; I’ve called this design Charlotte.

Markets, Christmas decorating and making handbags
Monday, November 9th, 2009Saturday was our first day at the Mosman Markets
The past 2 markets were a washout so it was exciting to have a sunny day to kick off my venture. Met some nice people and really enjoyed chatting and spreading the word about what I love to do. If you live in Sydney or are visiting you find me at the Mosman Markets first Saturday of each month, except January.
We are busy in our house putting up the Christmas decorations. I know, its early to put them up, but in our house we have a lot of decorations so it takes days to do and all the decorations are up in the shopping centres and it makes me want to have the spirit at home. When we unpacked after the markets we started on the Christmas tree and unpacking all the crates. Yesterday I needed a day to relax and recharge and that means for me sitting by the water. Will post photos tomorrow. My dad so wants to find a new tree topper and is constantly in pursuit for one.
So now my week starts with creating new bag designs that I have been working on and replenishing stock. I have to have music playing to get the creativity happening. Presently listening to Avril Lavigne, Chiasm, Green Day (soon to be performing here in Sydney, I have tickets!!) and Gwen Stefani.
