What payment methods do you accept?

Mercedes Louise accepts online payments via PayPal. PayPal allows you to make a payment from various bank accounts you may have, making this a secure way for you to make a transaction. It is very easy to register for a PayPal account. We also accept direct bank transfer, cheque or money order.

Do you deliver overseas?

Yes. We do sell to international customers. It is important that you be aware of import duties and /or taxes applicable when the goods arrive in your country. We accept no responsibility for the costs. Contact your relevant government import customs authority to find out if there will be additional charges.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery within Australia and Outside Australia: Mercedes Louise sends your parcel via Australia Post – Express Post. The charges are calculated using the Australia Post calculator. There will also be a handling charge added at the checkout.

What happens once I have placed my order?

You will be charged upon placement of your order. If you order multiple items and part of the order has to go into production, the whole order will be held until those items are ready to ship. We do not ship partial orders.
Please remember that most of our bags are made to order. If it is in stock, it will ship within 48 hours. If it is not, your bag will go into the production line within 24 hours of our receipt of your order and you can expect it to ship usually within 7 - 10 days, sometimes sooner, which is always a pleasant surprise! Please keep in mind that production time does not include shipping time.

What currency has been used in your prices?

All our prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).

What are your product availability terms?

We try to discontinue an item as the stock becomes depleted, but sometimes we are unable to update the website as quickly as we would like. In the event that the item you ordered is not available, you will be notified by email immediately, sometimes we have in stock a similar fabric you may be happy to substitute. If a similar fabric is available we will email a photo for your approval. Otherwise, your payment will be refunded unless you prefer to substitute with another item.

Mercedes Louise loves to include certain fabric designs such as Toile de Jouy in our products and these designs may vary to what is pictured on the website. We try to keep the same designs in stock, but if they are unavailable we will replace it with a similar design and colour. This does not alter the look of the finished product. We will contact you if a fabric is unavailable and confirm the change in pattern before sending.

If you are interested in an item that is listed as sold out, please contact us. We may just have one or two.

Please remember that all items are handmade and therefore, the placement of the patterns may vary from what is shown online.

Custom & Special Orders: At this time, we are unable to accommodate custom orders. Please keep in mind that all sales & special orders are final sales and non-returnable.

Rush Orders: Mercedes Louise can offer rush delivery for some items for an additional charge added to our regular shipping charges. Please email us at info@mercedeslouise.com.au to make sure your item qualifies, and for additional pricing. Please note, however, we might require up to 4 business days for your order preparation.

It is a condition of sale that any purchased item may not be offered for resale without prior written approval from Mercedes Louise.

Mercedes Louise bags are designed with beauty and individualism in mind. Due to the eclectic mixes of fabrics, prints, trims and leathers, each piece could vary slightly which makes every bag unique.

Lighter colours mark more easily, these colours should be kept away from any products that could stain or tamper with the product in any way.

Take care with any beading, embroidery, lace or trims as these are not covered by our returns/repairs policy.

Leather comes with some defects like creases, shading and colour irregularities and these should be considered the natural features of the leather. Leather is designed to age over time. Keep your leather goods away from grease products, water and other leather goods as the colour could ‘migrate’. We recommend storing your leather goods in a protective cloth bag.

Do not get leather or metal hardware wet, this can result in markings.
