Terms and Conditions

By accessing, using or browsing this site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions If you do not agree with any of these terms and conditions of use, please do not use this site. Mercedes Louise reserves the right, at any time, to modify, alter, or update these Terms and Conditions, and you agree to be bound by such modifications, alterations, or updates.

Returns: Because our standards are so high, we inspect each and every item as it comes off the production line, workmanship defects are few and far between. We have very high expectations of our products and strive to produce a high-quality item. However, if you find a production error with your purchase, please contact us immediately at info@mercedeslouise.com.au to discuss options for exchange or replacement and postal arrangements. 

We do not offer refunds for change of mind, but will happily exchange. Please note the goods are returned at the purchaser’s expense to Mercedes Louise. The item is to be returned in its original packaging all tags intact and the item has not been used. There is no exchange on sale items or discounted items. Mercedes Louise reserves the right to refuse any returns if they do not meet the standards outlined. You must contact us prior to your return and state the reason for the return and the item must be returned within 7 days and in the same condition in which it was received. Do not return an item until you have contacted us and received return instructions.

If you exchanging an item you have purchased, you are responsible for shipping the item back to Mercedes Louise in the same manner it was shipped to you (i.e. in its original packaging, not a paper/plastic mail bag; please do not crush the merchandise). Shipping charges are non-refundable. If there is a price difference when an item is exchanged, the price adjustment will be processed in the same manner you paid, when the item is received by Mercedes Louise after we have determined that there is no damage to the goods returned. You are responsible for any insurance and/or proof of delivery, such as Signature Confirmation or Delivery Confirmation.
By placing your order, you are agreeing to these terms.

Shipping: We strive to keep our shipping costs within reason. Our handbags are shipped in new boxes to maintain their shape, while smaller items are shipped in poly bubble mailers. We post within Australia using Express Post. Please ensure you provide us with a clear and correct address as we take no responsibility for an incorrect address being supplied. If you are not at home during the day, it may be easier to have your parcel delivered either to your place of work (if that is secure) or to another nominated address where someone will be home to receive delivery. Also make sure you give a clear and correct email address as we will email you the Express Post parcel code once your order has been posted.

Loss or Damage: We will email you the parcel code once your order has been posted so you can trace your order through Australia Post.  Although Australia Post is a reliable postal service, mishaps can occur. All care is taken when packing and checking your order.

Mercedes Louise holds no responsibility for items that are damaged or lost during transit. For this reason we use Express Post for its traceability. If you wish to use extra protection for your parcel we recommend you request Registered Post which requires you to sign for the item upon delivery.

Repairs on Bags: All of our hardware is industry standard trade materials, which are a high quality. Occasionally, however, a part might be faulty. We will repair a hardware-related defect at no charge if you contact us within 3 months of purchase. Please contact us for more information if this occurs. You will be responsible for sending the item back to us using the method discussed above. Remember, you must contact us prior to sending the item back. We are not responsible for repairs to the fabric, or due to misuse or overuse of a handbag. Please remember that fabric and leather handbags need to be treated with care! Other Products: We do not repair soft furnishings or accessories.

Colour Variation & Accuracy of Graphic Images: Due to photography constraints and the differences in monitor types Mercedes Louise cannot guarantee the colors of each product are accurately displayed. Mercedes Louise does not guarantee the accuracy of any images of any products found on this website.

Information found on this website: Mercedes Louise is provided information by our suppliers for the materials and trims used in our products. You agree that you must evaluate and bear all risks associated with, the use of all information at the Website, including any reliance on the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of it. By using the Website you agree that Mercedes Louise and any of its subsidiary or related or affiliated companies or any of their employees or agents are not responsible for:

• The accuracy or otherwise of the information displayed or omitted from the Website
• Any person’s reliance on the information presented on the Website
• Any loss in connection with the use of the Website

Order Cancellation: Mercedes Louise reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order when (a) products are unavailable for any reason; (b) an order placed through the site has not been received by Mercedes Louise for any reason; (c) full payment for the order has not been received by Mercedes Louise from the customer; (d) order received that may or is involved in any fraudulent activity - any such involvement detected, Mercedes Louise will forward information to the fraud prevention merchant services and will undergo a fraud investigation which may also involve police investigation.

Privacy Policy: Mercedes Louise is committed to the new Australian privacy legislation in the way it collects, uses, secures and discloses personal information. The Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 requires companies to comply with the National Privacy Principles (NPPs). This document describes Mercedes Louise Privacy Policy. 

The information we collect: We lawfully collect personal information that is necessary for our business to function. The information we collect and hold will depend upon the products and services you request from us and may include:

• Information you provide us when you purchase goods or services. This information will include your name, address and contact details. .
• Information derived from communications between us and you.

• To provide the products and services you have requested from Mercedes Louise.

• For direct marketing by email, specials on products or services you have shown interest in.

If we contact you in this way without obtaining your prior consent, we will provide you with the opportunity to decline any further marketing communications. If you at any time receive any communication from Mercedes Louise which you would not like to receive, please contact us and we will remove your name from our mailing list.

Access to your personal information: In most cases, you can gain access to the personal information that Mercedes Louise holds about you, subject to some exceptions allowed by law. If you would like to check or amend your contact details, please contact us. We will deal with all requests for access to personal information as quickly as possible.

Security: Mercedes Louise will take reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information which we hold and to keep this information accurate and up to date. Personal information is stored in a secure server or secure files. The Internet is not always a secure method of transmitting information. Accordingly, Mercedes Louise cannot accept responsibility for the security of information you send to, or receive from us over the Internet or for any unauthorised access or use of that information.
